Life (Age Progression)

 (Originally found at Visible Time.)
Life is a short film by Audrey Schebat; it shows a baby progressing to adolescence, adulthood, old age and death within a single shot. Though made in 2001, the morphing between the different models still works, though I think the childhood section is the smoothest and best (perhaps because the child actors look more alike).

I discovered this via Visible Time's page (amazed that that still exists!!), and I have to say that this makes me "explode" every single time. :)

Age progression is a major turn-on for me, especially when it's slow, detailed, and more "sensual" than "horrific". I discovered it a long time ago with the first scene in "Starman", and I found myself incredibly aroused at how a male infant can steadily grow and stretch into a beautiful, handsome adult. Perhaps that's why, from a young age, I didn't fear puberty...I took it as an exciting time when my body would go through incredible changes that would prime myself into something even more incredible. :-D

The Xbox ad was also hot, but seemed more "horrific" and upsetting through leading it to sudden death (with a stupid moral). This one is MUCH better, gentler, and I just have to say that the man gets more and more hotter as he grows older (yes, I'm really into older/elderly guys).

I noticed that he's laughing throughout his years, too, and I love that. It's a reminder to keep laughing through life, no matter what happens. And the ending is REALLY important to me...how he "blows away" in the wind, up to the stars. This confirms an important theory I learned, that we are all stardust, born from the universe from a single cell that crashed to earth billions of years ago, so to go back to that universe is definitely like coming home again.... It speaks to me, and very gently, without overdoing anything. :)

My only qualm (because I'm so picky) is that I wish the video would show other parts of his body as he ages, like his chest, feet, back, hands... But I guess that would ruin the "one take" they were trying to go for. Still, he's perfect, and I just can't believe how incredible male body growth and age progression is.

It excites me even more to think that I'm going through that right now. *sighs happily* How many people can say that aging is EXCITING, not saddening? :-D

I also found this item at Visible Time. After reading your comment I decided to edit my post to give the site credit. Visible Time is a terrific site, and I hope it keeps going.

I share your preference for nicely detailed and paced AP. And I hope I'll have your attitude toward aging!

There ought to be a few new short horror films out of this, and they should just do the practical makeup effects and a lot of inflatable bladders effects.
