Xiaolin Chronicles (Lizard Transformation)
Episode 14, "Heylin Within," shows junior hero PingPong drinking a potion and transforming into a lizard that seems to be a sort of monstrous chameleon. Go to the 11:00 mark.

PingPong's lizard form reminds me of an axolotl or a yellow monstrous Wooper which is based on the amphibian.
You're right, it does look like an axolotl. I didn't watch the episode very closely, so I'm not dead sure that it was a lizard.
