I strongly think that it would be really awesome and even 100X eerie if they do all practical makeup special effects for the age regressions and age progressions!
Film makers should do seventy to eighty "Age Progressions and Age Regressions" horror short films with all the practical special makeup effects, age transformation sound effects, and many animatronic effects. That would be creepy , eerie, and great!!!
They should make practical special makeup FX horror, comedy short films about a teenage boy eats the blue mushrooms that grows from the basement. Then after he eats them he will feel a slight physical pain in his body. His face, neck, chest, arms, and his hands would start to bulge and inflate until his changes into complete adult man then the next day he'll physically change back into his own teenage self again. But then he eats all the blue mushrooms and his age transformations gets out of control until he turns into a old man but he's still in great pain because his whole forehead was still bulging then bulging bigger. Seconds later he transforms back into his self again and never eat the blue mushrooms again.
They would have to do hundreds of inflatable air bladders FX and maybe should do ten animatronics FX for this.

They really should get back into practical effects instead of CG or CGI.
Practical effects are 100X much better than CGI!
