Static Shock (Werewolf Transformation)

Here's an oldie but a goodie from the 90s animated series. Technically the character is a mutant--or, since "mutant" has racist connotations in the DC comics universe, a "metahuman"; the Static Shock cartoon avoided both terms and called them "bang-babies--but we'll just pretend he's a werewolf.

  1. In the dc universe "mutant" is use as a racist term Differently Powered Individual, the correct term is "Meta human"

  2. Hello Bro4man,
Thank you for your comment. The Static Shock cartoon used the term "Bang Babies" to refer to mutants/Meta-humans, but I didn't want to confuse readers by using it. Though mutant has negative connotations in the DC comic universe, the Static Shock cartoon stands outside the comics and mutant is the word that's easiest for readers to grasp. Nevertheless, I'll amend the post in light of your comment. Thanks again!

  3. Thanks for responding to my comments. I'm female TF fan but your site/blog have some very good male transformations that I frequent very often beside Process Forum and furaffinity.net. The reason I comment on the video because Marvel and DC have different terms for "Differently Powered Individual" and why they used those terms. (1) Marvel owns the rights to "mutant" and DC owns the term like "meta human". (2) The creator of static shock use mutant as a Take That to X-men series. Personally, The world of marvel was little confusing to me when people were discriminate against the x-men because they are people born with powers but praise people like spider-man, fantastic four, the hulk, and most of the avengers when they are "mutate" who got there powers by radiation, science experiments, or industrial accidents??? Anyway, thanks for reply and can't wait for next update!

  4. Thanks for clarifying Marvel and DC's warring terminologies. Comics are becoming increasingly confusing in my old age! I'm working on the next update and hope to have it up before Halloween. I often frequent the Process board, since many times male TFs are inadvertently brought up, and because I enjoy some female TFs as well.
