Merry Christmas everyone! Your present is an update--six new items are below. We couldn't find any Christmas-themed transformations, but we hope you'll enjoy what we have. Peace on earth, and goodwill to all men who transform into animals.

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (Monster Transformations)

My thanks to Aaron S. for recommending this Tim Burton film, which has some peculiar monster metamorphoses. I didn't have time to watch the film (holiday rush, sorry), so if anyone can provide context, please do. The copyright fascists didn't allow me to host the video on the usual sites, so I had to use Google Drive. Let me know if you have any problems.

Best Friends Play (Hedgehog Transformation)

Happy Holidays from your co-editor Daymon! This transformation is from the animated intro of the (otherwise live action) "Best Friends Play" webseries, which discusses videogames. This episode coveres the game Sonic Unleashed:

SuperCops vs Supervillains (Tiger Transformation)

SuperCops vs Supervillains (aka Hum Ne Li Hai...Shapath) is an Indian TV show that's been described as CSI versus the monster-of-the-week. Lots of episodes have transformations but the special effects are terrible (90s-style computer morphing). One of the better TF scenes occurs in episode 140, "Half Human, Half Tiger."
The clip below is assmbled from different parts of the episode. It was a pain in the ass to compile because I wasn't able to find an uncorrupted video file. So please forgive the choppiness and other defects.

Abigail's Discount Magic & Bite Nite (Werewolf Transformations)

Daymon here, presenting two lycanthropic short films. First comes the student animation Abigail's Discount Magic. The transformation starts at 0:20:

Next is an oddity--a webvideo series from Subway called "Bite Nite"...about a werewolf who makes sandwiches. We didn't include it in the past few updates because there wasn't much onscreen transformation. But it's been requested a few times, so we decided to include it as a bonus. If this guy worked at my local Subway I'd eat there everyday.

Dragon Quest: Legend of Abel (Lion Transformation)

Daymon presents this leonine metamorphosis, from episode 19 of this anime:

Wansapanataym (Horse/Monster Transformations)

Wansapanataym is a Filipino fantasy show with multi-episode story arcs. In one  a character (or two) is cursed to become a Tikbalang, which wikipedia defines as "a creature of Philippine folklore said to lurk in the mountains and forests of the Philippines. It is generally described as a tall, bony humanoid creature with disproportionately long limbs...It has the head and feet of an animal, most commonly a horse."

I haven't yet seen the arc but there are clips on youtube.
In the first, "Boyong transforms into a demon horse" while talking to his girlfriend:

Next, "Atom drinks Boyong's magic milk, causing him to transform into a demon horse."

Boyong also has a short reversion scene. Apparently there are many other transformations on the show, but episodes are hard to find or download in decent quality.

Hulk Animation (Muscle Growth and Hulk/Monster Transformation)

Back in August we posted a computer-animated video of an impressive Hulk-out from the Hulk ride in Universal Studios. An anonymous commenter has directed us to a better-quality version of the video that also includes an additional transformation. In the first video a kid with a baseball cap hulked out--in this version we also see an Asian guy and a woman go green. The transformations do not progress in a linear sequence and seem to be intentionally scrambled:

On behalf of my country I want to apologize to the rest of the world for what we have done...and for all the insanity that will occur during the next four years. If it's any consolation, the majority of American voters did not vote for the man who will become the President. How strange that our Electoral College, designed to prevent the election of demagogues, has twice done the opposite!

Update Time! (and Happy Halloween!)

Welcome to the (last minute of) October update! I managed to post half of the material below before Halloween. The rest will help you kick off November. Many thanks to Daymon for keeping the blog running in September when I was on vacation. I feel a bit guilt about not being more active in October, but I will also do another update before Thanksgiving.

In other news, broken links have been fixed for three old posts:
* Eerie Cuties
* Sorcery 101
* Dance in the Vampire Bund

After you finish with this update, keep in mind that Dutchbull and Shadowlord Inc. have also recently updated (links on the sidebar).

Luger Code 1951 (Werewolf Transformation)

This new anime features an effective werewolf metamorphosis--I particularly like the fur sprouting on the back and the muzzle growth, though both of course go by a hair too quickly. The werewolf design is imposing and well-shaped.

Dex Hamilton: Alien Entomologist (Insect Transformation)

In episode 7 ("Rebirth") of this sci-fi cartoon, sidekick Zap starts gradually mutating into an alien insect creature. Unfortunately, this promising sequence is let down by stiff computerized animation.
Since the transformation happened throughout the episode, I edited several scenes together. Apologies for rough transitions and some occasional choppiness caused by the video capture software.

Kuroa Chimera (Werewolf Transformation)

A werewolf named Takaomi among the main characters in this manga. Below are raw scans, but you can read some translated chapters online.
In chapter 2 Takaomi gets into a fight with a lizard dude:

In chapter 3 the fight continues, but eventually Takaomi loses control of his beast side and transforms all the way.

In chapter 7 we're treated to a flashback of Takaomi's first transformation. Yes, he had different hair back then.

In ch. 13 we get a short reversion scene in a flashback:

Bat Pat (Werewolf Transformation)

I'm not going to lie to you, this clip is pretty stupid. I wanted to test some screen-capture software and this was a result. Episode 33 of this cartoon ("Mooonstruck) features a werewolf and this clip combines a reversion and transformation scene. Neither is particularly good, and the animators were so lazy they gave the wolfboy a magically regenerating shirt. The clip was made using a screencapture of a streaming video, so I hope it isn't too choppy.

The Spiderwick Chronicles & Bonus (Ogre and Muscle Growth Transformations)

From co-editor Daymon:
This film clip from The Spiderwick Chronicles shows an ogre shedding his human disguise. Luckily for us, it looks exactly like human-to-ogre transformation.

As a bonus, here's a muscle-growth scene of a pig-guy from Star vs The Forces of Evil.

"The Night Creatures" (Werewolf Transformation)

This commercial for Movistar begins with a cute looking guy watching a basketball game...what happens next will be familiar to anyone who's seen the film of Teen Wolf, though the make-up owes more to the Teen Wolf TV show. Regardless, this one of the better looking wolfmen you'll see in a commercial

Transformation Round-Up (Tiger, Panther, boar, and Werewolf transformations)

Co-editor Daymon here with some more transformations for all of you.

* First, two NSFW were-tiger and were-panther transformations from the artist Tanraak.

* Now for some werewolves. The first, suggested by an anonymous commenter, is from the manga version of a web novel called Jinrou e no Tensei, Maou no Fukukan, or Reincarnated into a Werewolf, the Demon Lord Servants:

* The following transformations were found in webcomics. In Glass Scientist a werewolf goes though unstable transformations from full-wolf to anthro-wolf form, as seen here and here.
In How to be a Werewolf , the heroine's best friend is confronted by a pack of humanoid werewolves and transforms into a monster werewolf.
And here's a lycanthropic scene from the Brazilian version of Flash Gordon.

* The final set of items are various pieces of artwork found on a Brazilian art site:
Scroll down this page on Brazilian folklore to see a werewolf transform.
"Cursed by Gypsies" is an gif of a white trash lycanthrope, while "Wereboar" shows a pig-man going feral.

Guardians of the Night (Pig Transformation)

The 2016 Russian film Nochnye strazhi, aka Guardians of the Night (not to be confused with the upcoming Russian film Guardians, which features a werebear) is mostly about vampires, but one of the minor villains has the ability to become a boar. The actor is not my cup of tea, but there must be someone out there who's into tubby dudes getting tubbier...

Tests (Werewolf Transformation)

Here is a smoothly rendered werewolf transformation, animated via Blender:

There's also an earlier version (and two other early versions) on the artist's YouTube page.

Saur and Snake (Dinosaur and Snake Transformations)

Here are two youtube videos from a German artist named Alan Talbor. First, a hand-drawn animation of a dinosaur transformation, created from over 700 drawings:

Next, a computer-animated snake TF:

Both videos are paced to allow viewers to fully take in the transformations. If you enjoyed them, consider encouraging the artist by leaving some nice comments on youtube.

Transformation Round-up (Monster, Bear, Werewolf, Dragon, Tiger, Lizard, and Muscle Growth transformations)

Here is the transformation round-up for this week. Unlike my last transformation roundups, most of these are NSFW. Let's get started with another work done by Ekataraf called Growth Drink found at this link.

The next transformation comes from the webcomic, Wilde Life, with a monster transformation here.

Here is a were-human transformation from the webcomic, Becoming Blizzard, found on this link.

The next transformation is from the artist CaptainGerBear's Grant comic. The first transformation from it is here and another on this page.

The next comes from video games that he has found, the first comes from Tale of Zelestria trailer found here. The next transformation comes from the upcoming game, Scalebound, which has the main character have the ability to transform into a half-dragon hybrid. Here is the transformation from the trailer.

His next transformations come from the Resident Evil: Degeneration movie. Here is the link to the movie, I recommend using the Video 1 option and be patient because it takes time for it to load; a partial transformation happens at 58:50, another at 1:06:19, and a complete transformation at 1:06:50.

Last but not least is Samuel's suggestion of using the beast transformation from the Epic Winter special from the Ever After High series:

Transformation Round-up (Werewolf, rat, fox transformations)

Hello, this is Daymon, your co-editor here, with a transformation update with me having carte blanche on the blog. While Apuleius is on vacation, I will try my best to find transformations for the blog. If you wish to give me some transformations for the blog, you can leave comments in posts. The last transformation for this post is from the short film, The Tale of Hillbelly, which is a surreal story about a hillbilly yogi and his unique encounter with a fox. The transformation starts at 6:14:

Future-Worm! (Werewolf Transformation)

I'm ashamed to say it's been nearly two months since the last update. This summer was not particularly good for transformations and it was difficult finding good ones. Fortunately our readers came to rescue with excellent tips and suggestions (apologies for any that I missed). This is a relatively large update (with 15 entries), because starting on Sunday I'll be out of town for three weeks and might not update until early October. However, my co-editor Daymon has carte blanche to post while I'm away.

On with the update--as an example of reader contributions, enjoy the video below:
Wally West found and recommended the werewolf transformation from episode 3a ("Meetiversary," season one) of Future-Worm!, a new cartoon series. The hero and his worm friend take a trip to a moon base, where they encounter some scientists at work:

Bunnicula (Cat Transformation)

The 12th episode of this cartoon is titled "Curse of the Weredude," and involves Chester the cat desiring to become human. He gets his wish:

Bunnicula - Curse of the weredude by burning_tsunami

Note: the video should be cued to the 03:44 mark.

Cambrian (Monster Transformations)

Cambrian is a hentai and therefore NSFW (so I decide not to embed the videos, which can't be cued anyway). The first episode has a monster transformation with clothes bursting at the 20:10 mark:

The second episode is more disappointing and has a very quick monster TF at 14:00 and some muscle-growth at 21:44:

Werewolf By Night (Werewolf Transformation)

Dead of Night: Werewolf By Night was a miniseries that worked hard to re-establish Marvel's werewolf superhero, who was the first werewolf superhero but was considered a bit of a relic, thanks to his wolfman design and goofy real name (Jack Russell). The intense, fleshy art in this miniseries, by Mico Suayan, succeeds in visually updating the character.
From issue 01:

From issue 3:

"Teen Titans" & "Savage" (Porcupine & Sasquatch Transformations)

In Teen Titans Annual #2 we learn why you shouldn't take strange drugs when clubbing:

And then this happened:

To beef up a short post, here are scans from an unrelated comic called Savage (issue 4). The hero turns into a sasquatch/bigfoot/ape sort of monster:

Full Moon (Werewolf Transformations)

A funny animated short about a werewolf encountering a series of weather-induced inconveniences on the night of the full moon. There are transformations and reversions throughout the film:

Full Moon from Chen Kim on Vimeo.

"Elephantmen" & "Megalith" (Hippopotamus, Monster, and Werewolf Transformations)

Both of these comics were found and recommended by Far23.
First up is a hippopotamus transformation (the first ever on this blog!) from Elephantmen #30.5 (aka Man and Elephantman #1). Lucky for us, the TF takes place on the cover and inside:

Next are scans from Megalith, drawn by the great Neal Adams. A monster transformation from issue 7:

In issue 4 of Vol. 2, Megalith (the superhero seen in the previous image) becomes a werewolf:

A short reversion scene, as Megalith confronts the wolf demon that possessed him:

Beast of the Tower (Werewolf Transformations)

Werewolves pop up surprisingly often in yaoi manga, usually with disappointing results. Beast in the Tower is a glorious exception. The plot involves aristocratic Edgar taking in a poor commoner named Lucca. They fall in love of course, but Edgar has a dark, hairy secret...

In Chapter 3 we get a brief one-page transformation:

In the next chapter, Edgar undergoes a partial TF:

In Chapter 5 another lycanthrope is introduced into the story--he performs as a circus freak:

Edgar rushes home, where Lucca confronts him. The moon is up, so Edgar starts changing:

Edgar goes to fight the other werewolf, who transforms first:

At the very end, love conquers all and Edgar reunites with Lucca. The images below were originally a few pages apart:
