My thanks to Ian Ricky for finding and uploading the following clips.
From the Japanese film Assassination Classroom: Graduation (2016), Yanagisawa (Hiroki Narimiya) injects himself with artificial tentacles and turns into a big monster:
Next, a human reveals his true alien self in this commercial for Wai Wai Quick Noodles:
And for those who'd like to see even more skin-shedding, here's an age progression scene from The Extant (S02E03):
Thanks to an anonymous reader for recommending this promotional clip made for War of the Planet Apes, which shows Andy Serkis's face transforming into a chimpanzee's:
Our thanks to Ian Ricky for providing all but one of these clips!
From the Hong Kong comedy film Tricky Brains (1991):
Chi Man Kit (Andy Lau) is seized by villains and forced to drink a whole bottle of "irresistible aphrodisiac." The overdose causes him to become incredibly strong and muscular:
***
From the Japanese film Kaiju Mono (2016): to combat a kaiju, Dr Saigo injects his assistant Nitta with a formula that turns him into a muscular giant. After an unsuccessful battle with the kaiju, Dr. Saig injects more formula into Nitta, tuning him into an older and more sinister giant.

A Thai commercial for "Zeen Better Vision":
***
A commercial for online shopping from Lazada Việt Nam:
***
From Smallville (Season 2, Episode 11, "Nocturne"): Byron Moore (Sean Faris) develops monstrous side effects from drugs he was given to alter his behavior. When exposed to sunlight his body changes, as his blood vessels and muscles thicken:
***
The German music video "Nicht die Musik" by Felix Kummer, features gradual muscle growth:
***
From the Filipino TV series Wansapanataym (Episode 170, "The Incredible Chuck"): A boy gains the ability to become a hulk after being electrocuted.
***
Our thanks to Kevrai for finding this hulk-out scene from the Indonesian TV show Si Entong Abunawas Dari Betawi 2. This is from episode 17. Kevrai says he hasn't been able to find full episode and there might be a reversion later on.

Here's a red Hulk from a Dutch Fruit-tella commercial:

Ian R. has assembled a compilation of scenes from episodes 91, 112, 113, 114, 115, 117, 120, and 121 of the anime Hunter X Hunter. It features the character Menthuthuyoupi, who undergoes a series of freaky transformations. Unfortunately YouTube is not allowing the clip to display when embedded, so here is a link to the video, which includes time stamps.
Here are two Japanese commercials from the Nissin company involving ramen and transformation. The first is for Chicken Ramen, which can make poultry buff:
The second is for Sinwa Food Delivery Gorilla One, which makes customers go ape:
This has to be the first live-action beaver transformation we've featured on the blog! It's a commercial for a French retailer of home improvement tools and supplies. If only more commercials were like this...
Thanks to Budhudd on our Discord channel for the recommendation.
Thanks to Mike for recommending this funny parody commercial, which intercuts three stories about the possible side-effects of the energy drink. You'll never hear "Red Bull gives you wings" the same way again!
"Beast Branding" is a recent Spanish-language ad for ampm. I initially assumed this was a wolfman, but a reader points out it's more likely a caveman. (Thanks to Joey Liverwurst for the clip.)
Next, an ad from Hong Kong, made in 1994 to promote the Independent Commission Against Corruption. The claymation croc is well done!
Here are three items involving age progression and the other age regression.
Starting with the latter, here is a commercial for Seek (an employment company) that involves a man aging down by 72 years:
The next two clips approach aging from different directions but they meet in the same place: muscle growth!
My thanks to APninja for recommending a scene from episode 11 of the anime Hatena Illusion,
where an old butler turns into a young and very well muscled jock:
Here is an Australian yogurt commercial from 1995. Lucky Aussies! I don't recall anything like this on American TV...
All of the following clips involve people turning into apes or monkeys...
"An advert for the Our Dynamic Earth attraction in Edinburgh, where a man devolves right down to the beginning of life."
***
My thanks to Shepsky for recommending the animated short Blackface, which shows an arrogant white hunter turning into a black-faced monkey:
***
Continuing with apes, here's an oozaru (great Ape) transformation from an unidentified Dragonball video game:
Let's start with three CGI Hulk animations by WaterFall Films:
***
Here is a Hulk-like character. This clip is described as 'real-time rendered CGI animation of a Zero character from Puppeteer Lounge's Human Transformation Setup training workshop."
***
A Hulk-out from an unknown episode of the cartoon Arthur. This is the second Hulk transformation I've seen in this show. I wonder if there are more...
***
Finally, two odd finds, both commercials for an Egyptian luxury resort!
All of the items in this round-up were recommended to us by Ian Ricky, who also provides commentary for some of them. Thanks Ian!
"Detroit Chop Shop, Season 6: Bonus - A Hard Dog's Night"
Technically the creature in this live action web short this isn't quite a werewolf, but it is descended from wolves!
***
Night Hunger is a "faux-retro viral ad for KFC; tested but never used." Fortunately this spoof grindhouse trailer for a non-existent 1970s werewolf film was released online by its makers:
***
Here's the simply titled "werewolf short animation":
***
On to international TV... Sítio do Picapau Amarelo (2002), aka "The Yellow Woodpecker Farm (or Ranch) is a TV series adaptation of fantasy novels written by Brazilian author Monteiro Lobato. This episode, from the arc 'O Cangaceiro Lobisomem,' features a character named Itamar transforming into a bad-cgi werewolf."
(03:05)
And in a later adaptation of the books, O Preço do Verdadeiro Amor (2005), a younger character also becomes a werewolf through the magic of cheap CGI:
***
But when it comes to bad CGI, Brazil can't beat India. Clap your eyes on Aahat (आहट) (S05E13) (30:20):
Our first selection was found by Kumaguma, who presents a short animation of a wereboar titled 🐷🌕🐗:
Next, a very strange ad from Korea that involves a woman-to-man transformation. I have no idea what it's selling!
This mysterious special effects test video claims to depict a werewolf, but the horns suggest a demon instead:
The next two videos were suggested by Ian Ricky. The first is from the horror anime Junji Ito Collection, Episode 5, "The Ongoing Tale of Oshikiri." An alternate dimension version of the protagonist Oshikiri is transformed into a hideous demon/zombie by a serum injected by the real world Oshikiri.
Lastly, Ian has also supplied a partial-TF from the 2017 Tv series The Mist (S01E03 "Show and Tell"). A character named Mikhail Demidoff grows moth wings after a moth burrows into his ear and multiplies. The efrfects are ultimately lethal
Thanks to commenter Arerenson, who wrote that the lastest episode of The Flash (season 5, ep. 15) features a human turning into the villain King Shark. This might be the first good live action shark transformation I've seen:
And here is a Hyundai commercial, suggested by Werefan, which includes a partial horse transformation. Let's hope more advertising agencies get these sort of ideas!
Getting back to more serious content, here's a transformation from Elder Scrolls Online, found by Vanzilen on our Discord server:
Lastly, an anonymous commenter wrote "I went through your werewolf archives and found a disturbing lack of the shortfilm Overtime (2016, but posted 8 months ago on vimeo), which features a werewolf trying to get
home before he fully changes." Here it is:
All of the items in this post were found and suggested by Ian Ricky. Thanks Ian!
From Powerpuff Girls, Season 4, Episode 6 (Knock it Off): Professor Dick Hardly mutates into a green muscular monster with spikes and tentacles after deliberately swallowing "chemical X":
A muscle-inflation commercial for MTV's Jersey Shore:
An Overall Hygiene for Men (OHM) commercial:
A Trident "Chico Perfecto" commercial:
A muscle growth and male-to-male transformation from the Indian TV Series Qayamat Ki Raat:
