Shinbi Apartment (Rat Transformation)

Our thanks to Trinh on our Discord server for finding another clip from the Korean anime Shinbi Apartment Ghost Ball Z: Ghost Exorcist. Episode 5 involves a rat-boy:

Gary and His Demons (Rat and Monster Transformation)

In episode 7 Gary and his friends are trapped between walls closing in; a gentlemanly mouse offers to help them escape, with monstrous consequences:

 

In episode 8, Gary is dealing with his age and tries to become young again. He injects a formula that turns out to contain rat DNA instead and turns into a rat:

Morbius: The Living Vampire (Vampire, Rat, and Hawk Transformations)

 My thanks to Vanzilen on our Discord channel for recommending this 5 issue limited series. In the first issue of Morbius: The Living Vampire the title character tries finding a cure for his condition but instead turns himself into an even more monstrous vampire:

And to make things worse, a super-villain is conducting experiments to transform people into animals. He gets off to a good start by turning a man into a rat:

Art and Webcomic Round-Up 09/19 (Various Transformations)

This update's Art Round-Up will be short but sweet.

We lead with a transformation-themed visual novel/video game titled "My Boyfriend's a Werecat." The link will take you to the public demo by the artist Jetyl (aka Hydez at Furaffinity) who plans to add further transformation scenes if the work is a success. We recommend downloading Werecat and giving the artist your support and/or compliments. Our thanks to Theultimatecrusader for recommending this project to us.

Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan (Rat transformation)

Episode 4 of Nurarihyon no Mago (Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan) features the following rat transformation (it happens at 18:22 if the video doesn't start there):

Doraemon (Demon, Horse, Wolf, Werewolf, Rat, Bull Transformations)

This cartoon is massively popular in Asia (and many other parts of the world)...so popular that thousands of episodes have been made. Storylines from the original manga have been adapted multiple times--one of them is "The Wolf Family." There are three versions.

The most recent and best version is episode 158 from the 2005 reboot. The episode starts with a random werewolf transformation that the characters watch on TV. Later on Doraemon (the superpowered robot cat) points a flashlight at his human friend Nobita, which turns him into a wolf. Nobita reverts at the end of the episode. I've edited the three scenes together:

An earlier adaptation of  "The Wolf Family" is from episode 809 of the original series. This edit includes the reversion:

And here is the very first adaptation, from episode 12 in 1979:

Another frequently adapted story is "Werewolf Cream," which usually begins with a random wolfman transformation and later features Doraemon himself turning lupine. The story has been adapated so many times that I have trouble keeping track of all the versions. 

The best one is from episode 53 (?) of the 2005 series, with the wolfman about 30 seconds in:

I think the next clip is from episode 507 (broadcast in 2012), with the wolfman seven seconds in:

And this might be the most recent version, from episode 552 (broadcast 2019), with the wolfman at 16 seconds:

Transformation Round-up (Werewolf, rat, fox transformations)

Hello, this is Daymon, your co-editor here, with a transformation update with me having carte blanche on the blog. While Apuleius is on vacation, I will try my best to find transformations for the blog. If you wish to give me some transformations for the blog, you can leave comments in posts. Even though I am busy, I will try my best to read through them and post them as soon as I can.

Alright so let's start with the first transformation is from a manga called Amon Saga, that some characters transforming into werewolf-like beasts. The transformation starts here in volume 1, chapter 3, page 28. *Edit: Changed the link to a different site

The next scene is a rat transformation from the animated series, Magi-Nation, in this clip here

The next transformation is a werewolf one from the show, Animated Slasher School, here is the clip.

The last transformation for this post is from the short film, The Tale of Hillbelly, which is a surreal story about a hillbilly yogi and his unique encounter with a fox. The transformation starts at 6:14:

Ratfist

Daymon suggested posting from this comic, by the artist who created Earthworm Jim. Ratfist stars a superhero who wears a rat costume. While on a dinner date and out of costume, he turns even rattier..

Zoo (Vulture, rat, sabretooth tiger, tyrannosaurus rex transformations)

Zoo is a short online manga containing a smorgasbord of transformations. Since I can't read Japanese, I can't tell you the name of the author or what's going on, but the art looks very similar to that of Naruto.
The two male protagonists drink potions that turn them into various animals--though many of the transformations are off-panel, three or four have been spread across a few panels. Read Zoo here.

In case you need reading instructions, start by clicking the arrow in the pop-up sign. This will take you the main page. From there, turn the pages by clicking the arrow at the bottom of the screen (the arrow faces right).
