"Flash Gordon" & "X-Files" (Werewolf Transformations)

In Flash Gordon Quarterly #5 our hero lands on a werewolf-populated planet and gets bitten, as seen in this double-spread:

Wulf and Batsy (Werewolf Transformations)

Thanks to Andréssaurio Rex for this recommendation. These images are from the first series of Wulf and Batsy, published in 2008. This is an independent comic and can be purchased from its creator's website if you'd like to show your support.

The Swordmaster Who Leapt Through Time (Werewolf Transformation)

This Korean webtoon features werewolves, starting with chapter 15. I've downloaded and rearranged the images to better fit the blog format and take up less space.

Also, if you're wondering why the transforming werewolf is wearing a hat in a couple images and bareheaded in the rest, it's because the transformation scene gets repeated with a few variations in the later chapters. Thanks again to Andréssaurio Rex for recommending this.

Kaiju Wolf Transformation (Werewolf-Kaiju Transformation)

This fine animation was recommended by Leone Vukan on our Discord Channel ...and is exactly what the title says:

"The Bathroom" (Muscle Growth & Werewolf Transformation)

The Bathroom is a multi-part animation created by A.M. Studios, a friend of the blog. We're not able to embed the videos, but since they're all NSFW that's not a huge problem. You can view them here.

Parts I and II contain muscle-and-hair-growth. Part III comes in two versions: one involves more muscle growth while the other transitions into a werewolf transformation.

Thamma (Werewolf Transformation)

One of the highlights of 2022 was the Indian werewolf film Bhediya (its transformation scenes can be viewed here and here). This year the werewolf reappeared in the Indian vampire film Thamma, and we were treated to another good transformation scene, along with some vampire-versus-werewolf combat. Interestingly, the werewolf design has changed, going from feral to bipedal.

This video, which has been edited together from various scenes, includes a humorous reversion.

Zatannic Panic! (Werewolf Transformation)

One of the stories in DC Comics' 2025 Halloween Special shows Swamp Thing and John Constantine tracking a werewolf. Things get hairy after Constantine is scratched:

Luckily Swamp Thing finds a plant-based cure for lycanthropy:

This was not the first time Constantine turned into a werewolf, as you'll see in this old post.

Chaos (Werewolf Transformations)

Thanks to Dinonator for recommending this six-issue limited series, which features a werewolf in the main cast. From issue one:

The Ancient Magus' Bride: Jack Flash and the Faerie Case Files (Werewolf Transformation)

Volume one of this manga introduces Larry, the werewolf sidekick to the titular heroine.

Sometimes Larry absentmindedly shifts between his two forms:

Spongebob Squarepants (Werecreature Transformation)

This one is a bit difficult to classify...SpongeBob gets bitten by DoodleBob (a crudely drawn caricature of SpongeBob) and turns into a "weredoodle." Thanks to the tireless Andréssaurio Rex for finding this episode (#321a, "Curse of the WereDoodle").

There's a second transformation at 3:52, by the way.

"Bell Hell's Intro" & "McFarlane's Evil Prophecy" (Jackal and Werewolf Transformations)

Thanks to Andréssaurio Rex for these videos. First, a werewolf in the animated intro to Bells Hells, a "campaign" of the web series Critical Role:

And another intro, this time to the 2004 video game McFarlane's Evil Prophecy. Since there's a direct cut from the head of the transformed character to that of Anubis, I've classed this as a jackal transformation. On the other hand, it's induced by the full moon, so who knows?
