Animorphs: The Message (Fish, Dolphin, Shark, Seagull, and Alien Transformations)

In this update we bring you scans from two Animorphs graphic novels. This post showcases volume four, The Message. Go a few posts down to find volume five. 

The Message shows our heroes (the two males are Marco and Jake) undergoing various aquatic transformations. They start by turning into fish (salmon?):

Later they turn into dolphins, but Marco gets injured and has to revert to human form:

 

Then comes a scene where everyone reverts from seagulls to humans:

And in case you're getting sick of reversions, here's a scene of Marco turning into a dolphin:

Our heroes are joined by an alien named Ax. Together they escape from the bad guys by morphing again: the humans into dolphins and Ax into a shark.

Lastly, Ax decides to morph into a human, but needs help getting dressed:

Mashle: Magic and Muscles (Shark and Monster Transformations)

In episode 7, a pair of wizards attack. The larger wizard traps one of the protagonists in a water dimension and transforms into a shark to go in for the kill. But he might have bitten off more than he can chew:

The Boys Presents: Diabolical (Gorilla, Snake, and Shark Transformations & Muscle Growth)

Found in an anthology series based on The Boys universe, the short "An Animated Short Where Pissed-Off Supes Kill Their Parents" has a group of abandoned teenagers taking vengeance on the parents who abandoned them because their superpowers weren't seen as profitable. One of them is Kingdom, who can transform into any animal in body and mind:

Mako Finn (Shark Reversion and Transformation)

In the third issue Piranha had captured Warren and mutated him into a sharkman. Thanks to his wife he managed to revert back to a human, but not without an orgasm:








After finding two sharkmen having their way with a young man Warren transforms into a beast again and goes on a rampage:

"SharkMan" and "Creatures From the Abyss"

This pair of fish-themed transformations was suggested by Ian Ricky. "SharkMan Transformation Test - Man turn into a Street Shark" is exactly what it claims to be:



Here's the VFX breakdown.


For a slightly higher budget but much cheesier fish creature film, look no further than the horror feature Creatures from the Abyss (original title Plankton, 1994). One of the sleazier characters (played by Michael Bon) transforms into some kind of mutated fish monster (Argyropelecus) while making love:

"The Flash" and Hyundai (Shark and Horse Transformations)

Thanks to commenter Arerenson, who wrote that the lastest episode of The Flash (season 5, ep. 15) features a human turning into the villain King Shark. This might be the first good live action shark transformation I've seen:





And here is a Hyundai commercial, suggested by Werefan, which includes a partial horse transformation. Let's hope more advertising agencies get these sort of ideas!

Artist Round-Up (Werewolf, Dragon, Donkey, Lion, Demon, Shark, and Weight Gain transformations)

Daymon here with some new artists this month. I start with an artist suggested by Samuel. His name is Aokamidu, and you can find transformations in his comics Flawed Fealty (on Page 3 and Page 6 - 7), Starting Something Else (on page 31 here),and Unknown Evil in England (page 6 to 8 and pages 22 to 23).

Next is the NSFW artist, Rangarig, and his many animations (you will need an account to view them): Donkey Tf ; Donkey Factory, available in low-quality and high-quality versions; and TF Milker: low-quality and high-quality version.

Third is Iwano, who draws a lot of doujinshi with husky gentlemen. The first of the weight gain sagas is Boss and the Mysterious Medicine, followed by Oyabun to Ayashii Hatsumei and this animation on Pivx.

Transformation Round-Up (Various Transformations)

All of the following transformations were discovered by Daymon, our resident TF sleuth-hound.

A gnarly lion-monster transformation from the anime Flame of Recca (episode 24). The character gets even more monstery in the next episode.

A caveman TF from Totally Spies (Season 3, Episode 23: "Head Shrinker Much?").

Here's a cartoon I remember from growing up in the 80s: Tiger Sharks, which ran as part of an anthology program called the Comic Strip. The characters were humans who could turn into marine animal hybrids. In this clip from the first episode you see Walro going walrus, and then, after a few seconds, Mako becoming a man-shark. In the next episode, Lorca turns into--well, you can guess from the name.

From the first episode of another 80s show, Galaxy High School, a bulldog turns into a two-legged dog-man.

In episode 24 of The Men in Black cartoon, Agent K turns into a well-muscled rock humanoid at the 6:05 mark.

More for the muscle-growth fans: a bulking-up from the film Heavy Metal.

And one more treat for muscle-growth fans--a scene from the 2006 cartoon Biker Mice From Mars (Season 4, episode 3; "The British Invasion"), wherein mouse-man Stoker transforms into a feral rat-like monster when exposed to sunlight. The scene begins at 1:06 and continues past the opening credits, with a reversion at 11:08.

No update would be complete without a NSFW entry, and this one is from a doujinshi called Saimin Sennouen, which has two transformation scenes. In the first (starting here) a man has a bear mask placed on his head, which transforms him into a metaphorical bear and then a literal one. In the other story, a guy is turned into a Minotaur/bull (the artwork's by Nojo).

Daymon was also curious if anyone knew the source anime of a certain muscle-growth gif.

Archipelago (Wereshark Transformation 2)

The wild and weird webcomic Archipelago features a pair of twin brothers--one is a fully-fledged wereshark, while the other is sharky but not able to fully transform. Last August I reported on the wereshark brother's transformation. Now the other brother has transformed, but his form is a lot less...pretty. The TF starts here.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold: Return of the Fearsome Fangs! (Animal Transformations)

(Edit: since the original youtube links in the second half of this post no longer work, I've replaced them with links to Dutch Bull's site)

Last week's episode featured The Terrific Trio (Fox, Shark and Vulture) and Batman and Bronze Tiger all transforming into their namesake animals. The TFs are fast and fluid. Fortunately for us, that renown transformation devotee TFFurryMaster has put up a special video containing just the TF scenes. You can view it here.

This episode marks the third time The Trio has shown up in animation, and the second time they've transformed into animals. The previous occasion was an episode of The Batman titled "Attack of the Terrible Trio." Unfortunately the episode was a bit of a wasted opportunity, since the trio didn't have any decent TF scenes--instead the animators cheated by just showing their shadows transforming (that old cheap trick!).
But the episode did feature a nice scene of a frat stud reverting back into a human after having been turned into a raging gorrilla--you can see him de-Kong here. The episode also features Fox getting a mutagen overdose and turning into--of all things!--a griffon. This has to be the silliest coincidence ever--who knew the chances of bathing in a stew of random animal DNA and coming out as a mythological creature were so high? Still, it's not a bad tf and can be viewed here.
