"Weird," "House of Mystery," and "Tales of Evil" (Werewolf Transformations)

This post is devoted to werewolf transformations from three old horror comics. The first and perhaps best of the bunch is from Weird (Vol. II No. 1, March 1978) and can be read here, at the blog The Bloody Pulp. It's the second story on the page.

Next comes "Curse of the Werewolf," from House of Mystery #214. It's at the blog Grantbridge Street & Other Misadventures and can be read here.

The last comic is "Requiem for a Werewolf!" from Tales of Evil #2, and hosted at the same blog. Read it here. Transformation-wise it's a bit disappointing, but it's novel for a twist rarely seen in werewolf stories. Since revealing it would be a spoiler, I'll discuss it in the comments section. Meet you there...

As I was saying...the comic is interesting because the man first becomes a typical two-legged werewolf, but then transforms again, this time from werewolf to ordinary wolf. Anyone else know of similar multi-stage transformations?
