The Wayfinders (Bear Transformations)

Welcome to the spring update! We have 30 posts waiting for you. Thanks to the contributions of our devoted readers we've managed to continue through the TF drought. We're grateful to everyone who sent in suggestions. Now on with the show!

Thanks to ClassyMike and Noodles from our Discord server for finding and recommending these scenes from the fantasy TV series. One its protagonists, Kavan, is "a young warrior cursed to become a werebear." Last year we covered his transformation from the first episode, and now we have two more for you.

From episode three:

...and episode six:

"Flash Gordon" & "X-Files" (Werewolf Transformations)

In Flash Gordon Quarterly #5 our hero lands on a werewolf-populated planet and gets bitten, as seen in this double-spread:

And one more bit of lycanthropy, this time from X-Files #41 (courtesy of Mr. Rex):

Tojima Wants to be a Kamen Rider (Spider and Bat Transformations)

Our thanks to T-Ace Juice for recommending this anime on our Discord server. The show features two "Shocker monster" villains, who can transform from human to anthropoid animal forms. The first is Su Kumota, aka "Spider-Man."

This clip collects his human-to-arachnid transformations in episodes 3 and 5. (Note: Dailymotion doesn't allow me to disable autostart anymore, but you can do so by adjusting your browser settings.):

Next up are the spider gentleman's metamorphoses in episodes 7 and 14:

The second monster villain is Kouda Morio, aka "Bat Man." He transforms in episode 16:

And in episode 23:

One Piece (Muscle Growth/Size Transformation)

Thanks to Andréssaurio Rex for recommending this scene involving the anthropoid reindeer Chopper (from season two, episode seven):

Archie vs. Minor Threats (Lobster and Fly Transformations)

Some strange goings-on in issue four... Not being well versed in Archie lore, I have no idea what's going on. One of the characters refers to the lobster guy as a crab, but he looks like a lobster, so who knows?

"There Was a Cute Girl in the Hero's Party..." (Muscle Growth & Demon Transformation)

This clip from There Was a Cute Girl in the Hero's Party, So I Tried Confessing to Her (what's with all these ultra-long anime names?) is brought to you by the good samaritan at the The Male Muscle Growth Archives YouTube channel.

Episode 5 ("I Tried Being a Demon Again") shows the protagonist reverting to his demon form, though the main attraction of this scene is the muscle growth:

Wulf and Batsy (Werewolf Transformations)

Thanks to Andréssaurio Rex for this recommendation. These images are from the first series of Wulf and Batsy, published in 2008. This is an independent comic and can be purchased from its creator's website if you'd like to show your support.

We start with a reversion from issue 01:

A transformation from issues 01 and 02:

A reversion and transformation from issue 05:

And a final reversion from that issue:

Cursed (Goat/Satyr Transformation)

Our thanks to Mr. TF for recommending this horror film through our Discord server. The TF begins at 01:04:10 (the video is cued). After watching through to 01:06:10, you can skip ahead to 01:08:26 to see the creature's final form (alas, his transition is offscreen).

The Guyver: Out of Control (Demon/Monster Transformations)

Thanks again to Andréssaurio Rex for recommending this anime feature from 1986. Two transformations occur at 6:32 and 6:58, and this video is cued to the first. There's also a third TF at 22:31

Invincible (Muscle Growth)

Satan regains his true form in this diabolical clip from the fourth episode of season four ("Hurm"):

Shuten Dōji (Demon Transformation)

In OVA 1 "a monstrous oni ogre disguised as the hero's female love interest reverts to his hideous true form," to quote Andréssaurio Rex, who found the clip.

Zenith: Phase Four (Age Regression)

In this comic, originally published in 2000 AD, Dr. Michael Peyne grows younger and younger as the end of his world approaches. He'd been tryig to write a book, but that becomes increasingly difficult. I've combined and restructured various pages and panels to focus solely on the age regression, and as a result the pictures will be more understandable than the text.

Misfits (Turtle Reversion)

I don't think we've ever featured a turtle-to-human TF before! This clip is from Misfits, season 5 episode 7, and was found by Andréssaurio Rex. If the cue doesn't work, go to 28:42.

Hell Teacher Nube (Oni Transformation)

In episode 25 has Nube's demon hand starts to act up; its seal breaks, causing his arm to completely transform:

Local yoko Tamamo examines the arm and says Nube's spiritual powers are at their weakest, and might allow the oni sealed in his hand to take over his entire body:

Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Blob/Monster Transformation)

Thanks to Andréssaurio Rex for recommending these scenes from episode 12 of the second season. They show the villain Roderick Underwood turning into "Muckman." The clip has been assembled from several discontinous scenes, so apologies if it's a bit choppy:

The Lizard Kingdom (Lizard Transformation)

A fan-made webcomic...featuring everyone's favorite reptilian Spider-Man villain:

The Swordmaster Who Leapt Through Time (Werewolf Transformation)

This Korean webtoon features werewolves, starting with chapter 15. I've downloaded and rearranged the images to better fit the blog format and take up less space.

Also, if you're wondering why the transforming werewolf is wearing a hat in a couple images and bareheaded in the rest, it's because the transformation scene gets repeated with a few variations in the later chapters. Thanks again to Andréssaurio Rex for recommending this.

Regular Show (Dragon and Skunk Transformations)

Here's a man-to-dragon transformation from "Guitar of Rock" (Season 5, Episode 23). Thanks to Andréssaurio Rex for the link:

Posting that clip reminded me that long time ago we posted the raccoon-to-wereskunk scenes from "Skunked" (season 2, epsiode 27), but the video links died a while ago. So here are new ones!

First we see Rigby undergo temporary muscle growth and feralization:

At night he transforms further:

Kaiju Wolf Transformation (Werewolf-Kaiju Transformation)

This fine animation was recommended by Leone Vukan on our Discord Channel ...and is exactly what the title says:

Ultimate Human (Hulk/Muscle Growth Transformation)

Thanks to Andréssaurio Rex for suggesting this scene from Ultimate Human #1, wherein Tony Stark subjects Bruce Banner to scientific tests, causing him to hulk out:

And for a bonus, here's a reversion scene from Ultimate Marvel Team-Up #3:

John Carpenter's Toxic Commando (Monster Transformation)

Here's the animated trailer for John Carpenter's Toxic Commando, "an upcoming ‘80s-inspired action-horror FPS game." Thanks again to Andréssaurio Rex!

Robin (Bull/Centaur Transformation)

In issue #166 the villain Brutus reveals his true form:

Robotomy (Monster Transformation)

A robot somehow turns into a monster in the ninth episode of this cartoon. Thanks again to Andréssaurio Rex for the recommendation.

"Monkey Wrench" & "Primal" (Muscle Growth)

From episode 4 of the webseries: After Beebs refuses Campion Ajax's offer and shrugs him off, the latter grows with wrath:

And continuing with the monstrous-muscle-growth theme, here's a scene of a male dinosaur hulking up, from Primal (season 3, ep. 10). Thanks to Mr. Rex for the recommendation.

"Biker Mice From Mars" & "Acme Arsenal" (Muscle Growth and Monster Transformations)

Andréssaurio Rex suggested featuring the muscle growth scenes from this '90s cartoon. Luckily for lazy people like myself, The Male Muscle Growth Archives has already assembled a compilation of them! Go directly to the video's description for the episode titles.

Mr. Rex also recommended this short cutscene from the video game Looney Tunes: Acme Arsenal, which also features muscle growth and monsterism, so I've included it as a bonus:

"The Bathroom" (Muscle Growth & Werewolf Transformation)

The Bathroom is a multi-part animation created by A.M. Studios, a friend of the blog. We're not able to embed the videos, but since they're all NSFW that's not a huge problem. You can view them here

Parts I and II contain muscle-and-hair-growth. Part III comes in two versions: one involves more muscle growth while the other transitions into a werewolf transformation.

Blood+ and Blood-C (Monster Transformations)

Our thanks to Andréssaurio Rex for these links. The first scene is from episode 49 of Blood+ (if the cue doesn't work, go to 6:36):

The second is from episode 12 of its follow-up, Blood-C:
