This horror comic features a cute teenage werewolf. I've re-edited some of the scans, so keep that in mind if they look funny.

The Mask Animated Series (Age Progression)

Some unexpectedly decent onscreen age progression, courtesy of this cash-in animated series. The episode is titled "Little Big Mask." Though the age regression is offscreen, we get to see a baby turn back into a man.

Bravest Warriors (Werewolf Transformation)

In issue 11 we're treated to a touching display of filial devotion:

The Ravagers (Various Transformations)

The Ravagers was a short-lived DC comic that featured Beast Boy, formerly a member of the Teen Titans. He can transform into any animal, but his transformations are usually too quick to bother with. A few exceptions are found here.
In Issue #0 we're treated to Beast Boy's revised origin story, which involves him being experimented on while wearing a speedo:

As you can see, the results leave him hairy even as a human. I approve!

Later he's in a gladiator ring and morphs into a tiger:

The rest of the series was a disappointment. No discussion of Beast Boy is complete without mention of his finest transformation, which occurred in the Teen Titans cartoon. In the episode "The Beast Within" he turns into a big ape-werewolf monster--witness his first and second transformations, courtesy of Shadowlord Inc.

Silver (Werewolf Transformation)

Silver is an anime-style webcomic set in the American old west. The hero is a werewolf and his transformation begins here.

Captain Midnight (Werewolf Transformation)

In issue 16 Captain Midnight turns into a werewolf off-panel. Fortunately we at least see his friend begin the transformation. The "flying werewolf" is the captain.

Since this is a fantasy sequence that ends abruptly, we don't get to see what happens next. 

Superior Iron Man (Monster Transformation)

Issue 5 is origin story of the "Teen Abomination." Unusually, the transformation is shown twice--on the cover and inside.

Spectacular Spider-Man (Spider Transformation)

I'm not a Marvel fan, but I love it when Spider-Man turns into a Man-Spider. Unfortunately, that happen rarely (though it's happened twice in the cartoons). In Spectacular Spider-Man 17-20 the transformation gradually happens over the course of four issues.

Spider-Man encounters the Queen, an insect-human hybrid who had kissed him earlier and triggered his mutation. The Queen is on the hunt for a "husband" and likes what she sees:

The Queen carrys him off. Sadly, we don't see Spider-Man's transformation into this:

The spider  collapses and is pronounced dead. Then this happens:

Yes, he can now shoot spider jizz webs from his hands! Congratulations, but you were prettier with eight eyes. As far as I know, this was the last comic where Spidey got in touch with his inner arachnid. If you know of another one published in the last decade, drop me a line.

Le Bois Des Vierges (Werewolf Transformation)

Volume 2 of this French comic is titled "Loup" and shows a dude turning into a Eurotrashy wolfguy. I'm not crazy about the white fur and lack of a snout, but at least he's well-drawn.
His first transformation happens in the woods...

Later he gets injured and taken care of by the heroine. Her beauty brings out the beast in him...

Sensational Spider-Man (Monster Transformation, Muscle Growth)

Issue 37 opens with the transformation of Mr. Hyde, who transforms into a muscle-bound monster like his namesake. Note: these scans are in Spanish.

Why bother with that silly cloak? Go shirtless!

Bound By Flame (Demon Transformation)

Here's a video I received from a kindly reader named Ventrugo. In the video game Bound By Flame the hero gradually transforms into a demon. Ventrugo has compiled all of the short transformation scenes, as seen below. Thank you for your hard work, and my apologies for taking so long to upload it!

Superman (Bizarro Monster Transformation)

From issue "23.1" (aka Bizarro #1). Unfortunately, these scan are in Spanish. From what I can tell, Lex Luthor attempts to create a clone of Superman by injecting a serum into an ordinary guy who  turns into Bizarro instead:

Chastity & Les Fugitifs de L'Ombre (Reverse Werewolf Transformations)

In issue 5 of Chastity the heroine encounters a hunky werewolf who who pins her down and transforms back into a human...

Ungrateful bitch! He can put his junk in my face anytime...

Here's another reverse werewolf transformation, from the first volume of the French comic Les Fugitifs de L'Ombre. Reversion scenes tend to be less popular with readers, but I like them--there's something about the idea of a big hairy monster turning back into a naked, vulnerable human...it's sort of like age regression...

Black Tapestries & The Realm of Kaerwyn (Various Transformations)

These two fantasy webcomics are by Jakkal and feature multiple transformations.
From Black Tapestries we have transformations involving:

* A werewolf, starting here.

* Several jackals, starting here. 

* A wolf, raccoon, and crow .

* A quick fox TF.

* An anthropomorphic fox, starting here.

* An anthro dog.

Now we move onto The Realm of Kaerwyn and find transformations involving:

* An anthro raccoon.

* A werewolf.

* A reversion from anthro dog to human.

* Another werewolf.

Both comics are ongoing, so watch them for further transformations.

Round the Twist (Age Progression and Regression)

Round the Twist was an Australian live-action kids show, which briefly aired in America during the late 90s. Most American live action kids shows are filmed on ugly cheap sets, performed by annoying teen actors, and accompanied by a canned laugh-track. Round the Twist, like many Australian shows of its kind, was filmed on location and outdoors, featured appealing and natural young actors, and had a wilder sense of humor.

In this episode ("Pink Bowtie," from season 2, episode 4), we're treated to three age transformation scenes. They're low-budget and goofy, but that's part of their charm--plus the show hired many actors to portray the characters at various ages.

The premise involves two thieves onboard a ferry who are fighting over money and an age transformation device. One of the thieves has turned himself into a teenager, but after being confronted by other teenagers he turns back into a man.
Keep watching, because right afterward the other thief arrives and they begin fighting over the device. They accidentally set it off and are regressed into little boys (17:07).



If that isn't enough, there's a final progression scene where the thieves age from boys to old men (at 19:11) and an age regression scene involving an old couple (at 17:42)

 EDIT: I won't be able to make my deadline of March 1. The update will happen a few days afterward. But the good news is that the update will be as large as the previous ones, though with more comics than usual.

My apologies to everyone waiting for an update. I've been planning one for the past two weeks and have been lagging behind. I actually have a good excuse: I'm extremely busy at work and have been taking it home with me. Plus, I have a personal commitment that involves a writing assignment.
I expect to have all that behind me next week--the update should happen before the end of the month soon. January and February are the deadest time of the year for media of any kind, let alone TF content, so I'll be dipping into my large and badly organized backlog of comics. I try to post only the best stuff out there. There are lots of transformation scenes which occur off-camera or cover up the transformation. Sadly, most TF scenes are like that! I could easily fill my blog with them every week. I refuse, so it takes more time to find acceptable material.

While you wait, take a look at the January and February updates at Dutchbull's site. My thanks to everyone who's written in suggesting various shows and movies--I'm still processing many messages, so pardon my slowness.

And now for something completely different!

For the first time, I'm offering a prize to anyone who can track down an obscure comic from my adolescence.
In 1993 I was on a family vacation in Italy. At a rest area I went into a shop and saw a comic that involved a guy who beat up several people and then got on his motorcycle and drove off. But as he sped away, he transformed into a bear, bursting his clothes in the process!
That's all I remember. I was 12 years old at the time. 22 years have passed since then

If you know what this comic is and can tell me the title and issue number, you will receive the Silver Werewolf Prize. This involves a $30 reward. Plus, I will devote a blog post to anything you want.

Late Phases (Werewolf Transformation)

I'm honored to have received this video from the great werewolf connoisseur Herpscott. It's the transformation scene from the recent film Late Phases. After years of over-reliance on CGI, it's a delight to see filmmakers rediscover the power of practical effects. Like Wolf Cop, the transformation scene is the skin-ripping type, which isn't my favorite, but no one can deny that it isn't well-done and gripping. Thanks again Scott!

Growing Pains--Available for Viewing!

Growing Pains is a Danish short film about a teenaged boy who turns into a werewolf whenever he gets sexually aroused (you can see the trailer here). I discussed it a while back, and now I can report that it's available for rental, at this page.

The rental price is low ($3.40), and the film is more than worth it. Actually it's terrific--the first non-disappointing werewolf movie in years. It's even better than expected, and has three transformation scenes! The first alone is worth the price of rental, and the movie is funny, unsettling, kinky, and has something valuable to say about the harm of sexual repression and the need to release one's inner beast.

Werewolves have often been seen as metaphors for out-of-control sexual urges, puberty, and even erections (in transformation scenes the body grows like a monstrous penis). Many werewolf films have tried to make use of those metaphors--Growing Pains is the first to successfully employ all of them.

This is an independent movie and needs all the support it can get. I highly recommend renting Growing Pains.

Marbels Chocolate (Werewolf Transformation)

Below is a TV commercial from Indonesia, advertising Marbels Chocolate. It parodies classic werewolf iconography, features a cute actor, and uses a combination of make-up, body-suits, and CGI (for muzzle growth). I wish we had commercials like this in America. The only sour note is the boy giving the werewolf chocolate--doesn't he know that's toxic to dogs?

Garo: The Animation (Werewolf Transformation)

Episode 7 of this anime aired last month--it shows the main character dreaming that he's become a werewolf. The transformation is very quick, but there's some nice muzzle-growth and the werewolf design is goofy/cute.

Zoo (Vulture, rat, sabretooth tiger, tyrannosaurus rex transformations)

Zoo is a short online manga containing a smorgasbord of transformations. Since I can't read Japanese, I can't tell you the name of the author or what's going on, but the art looks very similar to that of Naruto.
The two male protagonists drink potions that turn them into various animals--though many of the transformations are off-panel, three or four have been spread across a few panels. Read Zoo here.

Life (Age Progression)

Life is a short film by Audrey Schebat; it shows a baby progressing to adolescence, adulthood, old age and death within a single shot. Though made in 2001, the morphing between the different models still works, though I think the childhood section is the smoothest and best (perhaps because the child actors look more alike).

Special Delivery (Horse Transformation)

Readers of this blog are undoubtedly familiar with Mamabliss and her excellent transformation comics. Horses are one of her specialties, and in "Special Delivery" we see a young man go from horny to...horsy. Read it here.
