The Lycanthrope (Werewolf Transformation)

One of the great explorers of werewolf lore is someone known only as "Dig," who posts semi-regularly at the Werewolf Cafe with fantastic news of werewolf-related movies and TV shows no one else has heard of. His latest scoop involves a short amateur film, and as Dig says, it's "amazing what you can do with a very small budget." The Lycanthrope was made way back in 1990, but its homemade prosthetics put most modern Hollywood FX to shame.

This Werewolf Makeup Bladder-FX are so awesome! Seriously I think the practical makeup FX artists should think about make thirty to sixty new werewolf special makeup effects short films like this. Maybe they can even come up their own ideas doing a lot of weird body to monster transformation special makeup effects kind'a like from the (1982) horror flick "THE BEAST WITHIN" or Dick Smith's (1980) film "ALTERED STATES." That would be 10X more awesome and creepy.

Bladder-FX seem to be a lost--or at least under-used--art nowadays. I'd love to see more films using the technology, but not many amateur filmmakers seem to have those skills, and the professionals seems to have been shoved aside by CGI computer jockeys.

Even the Bladder-FX dose seem to be a way under used art for now days I still say the real Handmade SPECIAL MAKEUP FX and Bladder-FX are 100X real and creepier than the CGI computer effects. Maybe, just if hundreds of other new professional filmmakers who are really up for doing the real handmade practical special makeup effects should sign up for Kickstarter website and ask people to help them bring back the Practical Special Makeup Effects, Stop-Motion Puppetry Effects, Puppetry Effects and Animatronic Effects to life. Also they should especially bring back the Head/Body Inflated Bladders Special Effects.
