Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (Monster Transformations)

My thanks to Aaron S. for recommending this Tim Burton film, which has some peculiar monster metamorphoses. I didn't have time to watch the film (holiday rush, sorry), so if anyone can provide context, please do. The copyright fascists didn't allow me to host the video on the usual sites, so I had to use Google Drive. Let me know if you have any problems.

Honestly as someone who has read the books, this movie is really not that good nor accurate to the original book. I could tell just from the trailers alone that it was going to be a mess. As a result I didn't watch it (but I did look at a few reviews of it).

While this Hollowgast TF scene is very interesting to watch and pretty well done, (especially the hand stuff, gross hand stuff freaks me out in the best kinda way) they look nothing like how they were described (and at one point drawn) in the books.

Bland slenderman rip offs if you ask me.

I will also be honest and say that I didn't really watch the movie, but only fast-forwarded to the TF. I'm sorry to hear the film was a disappointing adaptation--a lot of Tim Burton's recent films have been lackluster.

I'm not sure where your interests lie, in regards to things outside the theme of this blog, but if you like supernatural fantasy stuff, the original book series is a really fun read and I would recommend it. I know it's almost a trope at this point to claim 'the book is better' but in this particular case it really is.

You could say it's a bit of a peculiar series.
