The Idhun Chronicles (Werewolf Transformation and Reversion)

Welcome to the winter update! Make yourself warm by cuddling up to all the werewolves and other beasties we've gathered for you. We hope you enjoy all 14 new items.

Here is a clip from season 2, episode 2 of the Spanish-made anime The Idhun Chronicles. Prince Aslan, who contracted lycanthropy the last season, is chained up before he transforms into a werewolf. But the chains don't hold, so his comrade must hold off Aslan until he returns to normal:

Since we see his face change only during during the reversion (and that happens very quickly), we've included a screengrab of the process:

The books are very popular on the country and is unfortunalety a shame that make a poorly animation with generic characters and the asian influence on it, that feels like a low quality anime, even the voice cast was horrible, looking for young people without any experience, even the english too was poor. These dissapointed a lot, the fans and even the author didnt allow to make the season for strong differences

Yes, I've read that many people were dissatisfied with the show. I agree that the animation has a generic anime look and could be much better.

On the bright side, I'm glad the show at least gave us this TF scene, because it wasn't in the comic books based on the novels.

I figured the books would be better, especially from what I have seen from the show. I am curious if that prince will later control his lycanthropy?

I think so, based on what I saw in the comics based on the books.

A Suggestion

idk if you ever posted about this series, I didn't find anything when searching the blog, but (spoilers for the anime Fruits Basket) Kyo's transformation into his true form seems like a good candidate for the blog.

It happens in both the old series: https://youtu.be/x47pQmhWWK4?t=11

and in the new one: (I can't find a clip on youtube, but it's on crunchyroll at around the 12:20 mark) https://www.crunchyroll.com/fruits-basket/episode-24-lets-go-home-786981
