Coyotl, Hero and Beast (Demon and Coyote Transformations)

Update Time! It's been almost half a year since the last update, so thanks for your patience. The past several months have been one of the most barren periods for transformations since the start of this blog. But we've managed to scrape together 31 items for you, our largest update yet, largely thanks to the contributions of our readers (apologies if we've missed any). We hope there will be a shorter delay before our next update, but in the meantime we encourage you to join our Discord channel, where you can find other people to discuss transformations with and share images and videos on the subject. And now let's proceed with the first post, on Coyotl, Hero and Beast.

***

The hero of this Mexican miniseries gains the power to transform into the mythical Cóyotl, a nagual (spirtually and physically metamorphic figure) from Mesoamerican folklore, and uses his new power to go after the cartels. To be honest, his Coyotl form is something of a letdown (not enough coyote, too many tribal markings).

The two transformation scenes are in episode four, so I've edited them together:

If you care about spoilers you might wish to postpone watching the second clip, from the eighth and final episode. One of the villains transforms into a demon and fights our hero. We also get a little bit of muzzle growth from Coyotl:

In the Lost Lands (Werewolf Transformation)

This scene is toward the end of the film, so it's a spoiler. My thanks to Dinonator for the recommendation.

For a higher resolution version (it has a more abrupt beginning), go here.

Amadeus Cho & Totally Awesome Hulk (Muscle Growth and Hulk Transformations)

Amadeus Cho: 20th Anniversary Special celebrates the character who took over as the Hulk for a few years. Some reversions and transformations:

Cho then became another superhero, Brawn, but was still susceptible to Hulk-outs:

Going back a few years, here are two other appearances by Cho-Hulk. A brief transformation from Weapon X #6:

And a reversion from Weapons of Mutant Destruction # 1:

One of the storylines begun in the issue was an attempt by the bad guys to create a Hulk of their own. It doesn't go well:

The third and fourth images are from Totally Awesome Hulk #20, which continued the storyline.

Doraemon (Wolf Transformation)

Doraemon has continually cranked out episodes since 1979, so some stories from the manga have been adapted over and over again. For example, "The Wolf Family," has been adapted five times! The latest version aired in January. For the earlier ones, and some transformations involving other species, see our Doraemon megapost from several a years back (all its links have been fixed).

Back to the 2025 version! It's from episode 844 of the current season. Doraemon (the blue cat with magical gadgets) points a flashlight at Nobita (his human friend) and the "Moonbeam Torchlight" transforms Nobita into a wolf, so he interact with a wolf family nearby. Toward the end Nobita reverts to human form at the worst possible time. Both scenes are in this clip:

Avengers Assemble (Snake Transformation)

From issue 4. Alas, the snake-man transformation doesn't go any further in the next issue. Hissssss!

"Subject Matt" (Werewolf Transformation)

Our friend Noodles returns with another animation. When it comes to werewolves Hollywood may let us down but Noodles doesn't!

Damage (Monster & Muscle Growth Transformations)

My thanks to the anonymous commenter who wrote "There's a comic series by DC titled Damage. It's similar to Hulk. Maybe you need to check it out!"

Now I have! From issue one:

Issue four:

Issue five:

A very short TF from issue eight:

A reversion from the Annual:

And the last issue, #16:

"Growing Pains" Online (Werewolf Transformations)

Longtime readers know that I've posted a few times about this excellent animated short from 2014. I'm posting now to report that the film has been uploaded to Vimeo by its director, and is now fully accessible.

The story, in the words of the director: "Fabian is a shy, introverted teenager who lives with his bossy and prudish mother. Fabian's world gets turned upside down when he meets the fun and cool Felicia and they fall in love. But there is one small problem. Whenever the hormones rage in Fabian, he turns into a werewolf!"

There are three transformation scenes in the film, which I encourage you to watch all the way through. Technically the material is NSFW, but the film isn't prurientit has something valuable to say about the harm of repressing one's "inner beast." Werewolf transformations have often been interpreted as a metaphors for various things: sexual maturation, out-of-control masculinity, and even erection and orgasm. Growing Pains successfully explores all of these metaphors, which makes it unique among werewolf films.

Trinity (Snake Transformation)

In issue 16 a member of the terrorist organization COBRA lives up to its name:

Noah the Werewolf (Werewolf Transformation)

A fine work of traditional animation by IceArtz:

Animorphs: The Capture (Cockroach, Fly, Tiger, Falcon, and Dog Transformations)

Here are the transformation scenes from volume six of the graphic novel series.

Since the scans have spoilers, I've put them behind a fold. Click below to see them:

Los Monstruos (Wolfman Transformation)

My thanks to Andres for recommending this new series. Here are the first three pages from the first issue:

YOLO (Werewolf Transformation)

This is an Adult Swim cartoon, so it's best not to ask what's going on. The transformation is from season 3, ep. 3:

Drunna (Mutant and Monster Transformations and Age Progression)

This summary is not available. Please click here to view the post.

Zoe: Interactive Story (Werewolf Transformations)

Zoe: Interactive Story was designed to be played on smartphones and consisted mostly of still images, with a few instances of very limited animation. It was marketed in several countries and seems to have been popular in Brazil, judging from the videos on YouTube.

The story includes a handsome werewolf, who's seen transforming at the end of episode 10:

Episode 20 has a brief partial TF at the end:

And the end of episode 19 of season 2 has a reversion scene:

Animal Crackers: Circus Mayhem (Giraffe, Elephant, and Mouse Transformations)

My thanks to Andrés for recommending this graphic novel. The hero gets into trouble after eating an animal cracker. This is the first giraffe transformation on the blog, by the way.

Butterfly Business (Butterfly Transformation)

An animated parable from "Aesop's Jaybles" on the constrictions of an office job:

Weird (Crab and Werewolf Transformations)

Scenes from a 70s horror comic (vol. 13, no. 03). First, a dude is turned into a crab:

From the same issue, a werewolf:

The Wayfinders (Bear Transformation)

Thanks to Classymike and Noodles on our Discord server for recommending this scene from first episode of a new show. A group of highschoolers wanderes into a dangerous fantasy world but escape capture thanks to a friendly werebear:

Note: If you have any trouble with the video, here's an alternate source. The TF starts around 41:55.

Shinbi Apartment (Monster Transformation)

My thanks to trinhxuanduc for recommending this scene from the Korean anime. Episode 114 (or season 5, no. 17) shows a character being possessed by a demon and turning into what can only be described as a soccer monster

The Incredible Hulk (Ape and Neanderthal Transformations)

Thanks to Ogrebear for recommending issue 266. The Hulk (aka Bruce Banner) is riding along with his friends Rick Jones and Betty Ross when they come across some extinct apes...

The Hulk finds out that the High Evolutionary has been busy devolving people in the area. The first victims were the apes our heroes encountered earlier, who were formerly soldiers:

The villain then evolves Rick and Betty into Neanderthals:
